HPCPost Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

1. About HPCPost

HPCPost is a business tool developed and operated by Himalayan Pet Clinic to automate the scheduling and publishing of informational posts on its Google Business Profile.

The application helps us regularly publish posts on different pet health topics, including vaccinations, nutrition, preventive care, animal health, and veterinary services. It reduces the need to manually publish each post to our business profile.

This Privacy Policy explains what information HPCPost accesses, how that information is used, how it is stored and protected, and how it can be deleted.

2. Information HPCPost Collects and Accesses

HPCPost accesses Google account authorization information and Google Business Profile data only as needed to provide its automated publishing functionality.

Depending on the Google API permissions granted to the application, this information may include:

  • Business profile identifiers: Account and location identifiers used to identify the authorized Google Business Profile.

  • Business profile information: Information required to identify the business profile and determine where posts should be published.

  • Post content: Informational text, images, pet health topics, and publication schedules created for the business profile.

  • Publication information: Post identifiers, publication status, or related information where supported by the Google API.

  • OAuth credentials: Access tokens and refresh tokens used to authorize HPCPost to access the permitted Google services.

HPCPost accesses only the information necessary for its implemented functionality and the permissions granted through Google's authorization process.

3. HPCPost Does Not Collect Customer Data

HPCPost is used exclusively to automate Google Business Profile posts. It is not a customer management system, appointment booking system, or veterinary patient record system.

HPCPost does not collect customer personal information through its Google Business Profile publishing functionality.

The application is not designed to collect or process customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, pet-owner details, customer records, or veterinary patient records.

The information handled by HPCPost relates to our own business profile, the informational posts we prepare, their publishing schedules, and the Google authorization needed to publish them.

This statement concerns HPCPost's functionality and does not describe other services or forms that may be available separately on the Himalayan Pet Clinic website.

4. How We Use Google Data

We use the information accessed through Google APIs only to operate HPCPost's business profile publishing features.

Specifically, we use it to:

  • Connect HPCPost to the Google Account authorized for publishing.

  • Identify the correct Google Business Profile and business location.

  • Schedule informational posts about different pet health and veterinary care topics.

  • Publish approved post content to the authorized business profile.

  • Maintain the authorization required for scheduled publishing.

  • Check publication results where supported by the Google API.

HPCPost does not use Google user data to build advertising profiles, deliver targeted advertising, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

We do not sell Google user data or use it for purposes unrelated to the application's publishing functionality.

5. How Information Is Stored

HPCPost maintains application records needed to schedule and publish posts. These may include post content, scheduling information, business profile identifiers, and publication history.

Google OAuth refresh tokens are maintained on the server side through environment configuration or a secrets manager, depending on the application's deployment configuration. These credentials allow the scheduler to maintain authorized access without requiring manual authorization for every scheduled post.

OAuth credentials are treated as sensitive information and should not be exposed in the browser, public repositories, application responses, or ordinary application logs.

Access to stored application data and credentials is restricted to the systems and authorized personnel that require it to operate and maintain HPCPost.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we handle. We do not make a blanket guarantee that every stored item is encrypted at rest; the specific protection applied depends on the storage mechanism and deployment configuration.

6. How Information Is Shared

HPCPost does not sell, rent, or trade Google account information or Google Business Profile data.

We do not share this information with advertising networks, data brokers, or other third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes.

Limited information may be processed by hosting, infrastructure, or technical service providers where necessary to operate, secure, or maintain the application. Such processing is limited to the relevant operational purpose.

Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or when necessary to address security incidents or protect legal rights.

Any access to or transfer of Google user data remains subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.

7. Data Retention

HPCPost retains application information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the publishing scheduler and maintain its scheduling and publication history.

Retention periods depend on the type of information:

  • Scheduled posts and post history: Retained as needed to manage scheduled publications and maintain relevant records.

  • Business profile identifiers: Retained while needed to identify the authorized publishing destination.

  • OAuth credentials: Retained only while required for authorized access to Google services.

When information is no longer required, it should be deleted or securely removed in accordance with the application's data-retention procedures and any applicable legal obligations.

8. Revoking Access and Requesting Data Deletion

The Google Account owner can revoke HPCPost's access through their Google Account security settings and the connected third-party app permissions.

Revoking access prevents HPCPost from continuing to use the revoked authorization for future Google API requests. Scheduled posts that depend on that authorization may no longer be published.

After access is revoked or the application no longer requires the credentials, the associated OAuth credentials should be removed from the application's active configuration or secrets manager.

To request deletion of stored HPCPost data, including business profile identifiers, scheduling records, or authorization credentials, contact us using the email address below.

We will review the request, verify it where necessary, and delete the relevant information when it is no longer required, subject to applicable legal obligations.

Data deletion contact: contactus@himalayanpetandvetcare.com

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect HPCPost against unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, or loss.

These measures include restricting access to application systems and sensitive credentials, keeping authorization credentials out of public-facing interfaces, and maintaining appropriate operational controls.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We review and improve our practices as appropriate to the application's functionality and operational requirements.

10. Google API Services User Data Policy

HPCPost's access to and use of information received through Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Google data is used only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and for providing the application's authorized business profile publishing functionality.

Further information is available in Google's API Services User Data Policy:

https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when HPCPost's functionality, data-handling practices, or applicable legal requirements change.

The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date. We will update the policy if the application's use of Google data changes materially.
